Stay
The Columbia River Gorge is full of world-class adventures easily reached from the property - but change your scale, and there are plenty of small adventures right here, too.
You can wander the trails, visit with the animals, watch the stars emerge, savor a patch of sunlight or the sound of rain, get out your paintbrush or a puzzle, share a feast, walk to town…or do absolutely nothing.
Life here is shaped by weather and seasons. Each has its own offerings for those who come: spring brings blossoms and a sea of green. Summer is rich with ripe fruit and the garlic harvest. Autumn and winter are a chance to turn inward, devour books, enjoy the sauna, or take long walks in the silvery mist. Month by month, the light changes.
GreenHouse
Located near the heart of the homestead, GreenHouse is a comfortable and freshly renovated home surrounded by river, mountain, and forest views. With an outdoor sauna, large deck, and spacious common areas, it’s suitable for both gathering and retreat.
GreenHouse has abundant natural light, real wood floors, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, and a cozy reading nook with a window seat. The main floor includes three bedrooms, two of which open out onto the deck, where the Columbia River is visible through towering Douglas Firs. (It’s possible you will also see a chicken or two passing through your yard!)
GreenHouse is versatile. If you want to spread out, the lower level offers a private apartment with an additional bedroom, bathroom, living area, and kitchen. GreenHouse is currently available as either a three bedroom (main level only) or four bedroom (whole house) stay.
For ten years of my childhood, GreenHouse was home to my cousins, aunt, and uncle. Later it was sold, and for more than three decades it remained just beyond the boundaries of the homestead. When the opportunity finally came to reconcile it with the larger property, I couldn't let it pass. Today, GreenHouse is once again integrated into the homestead, allowing this place to welcome new families, guests, and travelers.
Tiny Cottage hosted by Maka

Retreats & Events
Whether it’s GreenHouse, the Tiny Cottage, campsites, or some combination, different iterations of retreats sometimes happen here.
You can choose your own structure - maybe it’s an individual self guided retreat, or maybe you add some of the options below. If you’d like to bring a small group and run your own retreat, let us know.
The land has supported women’s gatherings, meditation retreats, rites of passage work, writing immersions, skillshares and workshops, and other intentional events.
